Canceled Golf Outing Benefits Emmanuel Cancer Foundation
JULY 2020
Glen Rock, NJ – MSO®, Inc. (The Mutual Service Office, Inc.) an insurance rating/service bureau located in Glen Rock, NJ, was forced to cancel its Annual MSO Golf Outing due to the coronavirus pandemic. The outing, originally scheduled for May 19, 2020 at Heron Glen Golf Course in Ringoes, NJ, would have been the company’s 27th Annual Outing. Each year, MSO offers attendees and companies the opportunity to sponsor a hole, with proceeds going to Emmanuel Cancer Foundation.
For almost 30 years, MSO has held a bi-weekly food collection for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation (ECF) and their food pantry. ECF provides much-needed support to New Jersey families of children who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Even though the event was canceled, many of the sponsors generously directed MSO to donate payments already made for the outing to the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation. Thanks to their generous donations, MSO was able to collect $7,550 for ECF. The check was presented via Zoom to Inessa Rome, Northern Regional Director for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation Northern Regional Center and Joann Passantino, Executive Director for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation by Jan Scites, Maria Blaney, Megan Townley, and Pepper Treuvey of MSO, Inc.
Next year’s golf outing will be held on May 18, 2021, at Heron Glen.
