Key Coverage Considerations in Today’s Public & Private Market

This 2-hour course provides a general overview of the flood insurance marketplace that consumers in the United States currently face. The session highlights differences in risk needs across all major flood zones, variations in the definition of what constitutes a flood, and coverages available throughout the marketplace. At the conclusion of the course, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify differences in flood definitions in flood insurance policies.
  • Identify various risk exposures and different types of insureds who may need flood insurance.
  • Recognize flood zones and their characteristics.
  • Understand some mitigation options to reduce flood risk.
